I am normally open to criticisms about my work. And the last criticisms I got were for my blog.
I asked a friend of mine to criticize the way I write, and with full honesty, he gave his opinion about my work. The results? I better work on my work - grammar, paragraphs and style. Hmm.. That's one big work I should say! :) Hehehe.
He also gave me this, "In order to be a good writer, you should read, read and read more."
Nice.

Up, Up and Away!!!

For two years, I have long waited to see the International Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clark, Pampanga. In 2005, my special someone and I wanted to experience the fest but were not able to do so because we learned about it too late. And last year, I completely got lost track of the event. This year however, I made it. Finally. :)
Karen and I agreed to leave Manila through the 430AM bus of Victory Bus in Cubao bound to Dau. Unfortunately, we were both tired the other day that we woke up at 5AM! We were two hours late from our schedule!! But luckily enough, we (with Princess - Karen's housemate) were able to catch some hot air balloons left flying (or should i say floating.hehehe)
On a February day, it was sure darn hot. I have thought of bringing my sunblock lotion (did i say mine?hehehe.Jude and I own it) but i brought a small bag just enough for my important kikay items, wallet and mobile phone to fit, so I left it at home. It was very, very warm that day and I was even wearing black! A wrong choice of shirt, I know.
The fest was great! There were exhibitions by helicopters, Cesta planes, sky divers, and there were some booths where they exhibited mini airplanes, Army jets, helicopters, etc. The fun part is, you get to have your pictures taken while wearing the bullet proof vest of military men while holding an M-16, get to have magazines of bullets on your body as sash and a combat helmet! I became a GI Jane in an instant! So much fun!!
One of my favorite exhibition was when the Cesta planes would fly on air and try to burst the balloons that were released! It was SO MUCH FUN!!
We didn't wait for the afternoon/evening program of the festival since we just commuted and we have work the following day (we went on a Sunday) so we just opted to just buy souvenir pictures of the night event. The pictures were astounding! The balloons looked so beautiful at night and I am definitely going back next year to witness the evening program. Moreover, I will ride one of those balloons! Woohoo!!
Balloons, I love!!
